Describe Your Wine Collection

Orange County Glass Front Modern Traditional Wine Cellar with Metal and Wood Racking, Diamond Bins, coved trays, and high reveal display

Vintage Cellars completed the design and build of this glass front wine cellar addition In Irvine, California. In this unassuming luxury neighborhood, similar to other projects completed with The New Home Company, Vintage Cellars created a series of custom wine cellar design options available for incorporation into each new home. The custom wine cellar option proved to be a smashing success, with more than 45% of the new home owners requesting the installation. It’s no wonder, such a dramatic and gorgeous glass enclosed custom wine room deserves to be in every home!

The wine room is largely constructed with all heart redwood racking, which adds a very traditional, almost Tuscan feel to the space. The back wall is composed of rows of individual wine bottle storage, intermixed with diamond bins below and high reveal display rows throughout. Along the leftmost side is a wide display of VintageView racks in wall mounted single deep style. There is a door between the racking displayed as well hiding the entrance into the cellar from a back hallway.

The minimalist look and feel of this cellar is fantastic, and coincides with the clean and modern décor throughout the rest of the house. This glass front wine cellar gives a dose of that “wow factor” when entering, or ever just walking past the formal dining room. The use of mirrors, glass, rich finished wood, and striking color make this custom wine room really pop. While standing in the dining room, you can’t help but feel drawn into this wine storage space. Through a unique design feature which may have even been unintentional, the wire frame of the chandelier creates a shadow against the ceiling – a trick to the eyes, pulling you in deeper and deeper into the room’s main focus: the wine cellar.

“The minimalist look and feel of this cellar is fantastic, and coincides with the clean and modern décor throughout the rest of the house.”
